Before you start making and cooking…

The recipes in this series are truly marvellous and we hope you enjoy trying as many as you can.

It is really important that you have a responsible adult to help you for each one.

We have added a note for steps in some of the recipes where it is absolutely essential that you have adult supervision (for instance, when dealing with an oven or hot pan, or chopping or blending food), but for each recipe, we strongly advise, that an adult is a key ingredient, and that they are on hand at all times.

Some of the recipes are a little more challenging than others, and some will even teach you cooking skills you never knew about! In order to guide you through the trickier recipes, we have included hints and tips to help you be a champion chef. These include:

  • A list of items and ingredients you’ll need for the recipes
  • A guide for how to use cooking equipment
  • A list of cooking techniques and terms
