The stories in this series will show you how astronomers use ingenious tools and clever thinking to better understand objects separated from Earth by the vast reaches of outer space.
If you’ve ever looked up at the night sky and wondered just what all those different stars and other lights are, you’ve already taken your first step into the amazing world of astronomy. People have asked the same questions for thousands of years, and astronomers are the people who try to answer them. These include some of the biggest questions you can think of, such as: Where did everything come from? Is there life on other planets? How do stars shine? How big is the Universe? Will the Universe ever come to an end?
In this story we take readers on a journey through the night sky, and teach them how to find constellations, understand celestial movements and use basic equipment like binoculars and telescopes.
